Connor McDavid achieved a significant milestone by becoming the fourth-fastest player in NHL history to accumulate 1,000 career points, scoring early in the second period during the match between the Edmonton Oilers and the Nashville Predators on Thursday evening.

At just 27 years old, McDavid accomplished this feat in his 659th game. He now joins an elite group of players, with Wayne Gretzky holding the record for the quickest to reach 1,000 points in 424 games, followed by Mario Lemieux at 513 games, and Mike Bossy, who managed it in 656 games.

As of now, McDavid’s impressive statistics stand at 341 goals and 659 assists. This achievement marks him as the 99th NHL player to hit the 1,000-point mark, solidifying his place in hockey history.
