Prince Harry, Meghan Markle quit as Royals but still like their titles as new Sussex website shows

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently launched their latest online endeavor, with a focus on their royal lineage.

However, their use of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles and coat of arms insignias on the sussex.com website has drawn criticism from online critics. It’s worth noting that the couple stepped down from senior royal responsibilities in 2020 and moved to California.

Previously, Harry and Markle utilized websites such as sussexroyal.com and archewell.com to promote their philanthropic ventures. The new sussex.com website provides information about the Archewell Foundation and Archewell Productions, showcasing the couple’s commitment to shaping the future through business and philanthropy.

Some social media users expressed disapproval of the new site, questioning the couple’s decision to use their royal titles and coat of arms, reports Fox News.

One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, sarcastically commented, “Imagine wanting to live an independent life and starting a website that is not based on royalty, only to end up using your royal titles and coat of arms again because the deals didn’t work out. I can’t help but laugh! They are like a fake Prada.”

Another user expressed their view, saying, “They left the racist monarchy to become private citizens, but now they are using their titles and the connection to the monarchy again. They even feature Meghan’s coat of arms, which was given by the so-called empire 2.0 monarchy. It seems like they failed as celebrities and want to go back.”

Others, though, celebrated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their new venture. They commended the platform’s design and expressed interest in seeing how the couple will use it to connect with their audience and share initiatives.

Additionally, Markle recently signed a podcast deal with Lemonada Media, where she will launch a new podcast series and distribute her previous series “Archetypes” to podcast platforms. The couple had previously inked a $20 million deal with Spotify in 2020 but have since parted ways.

In April, Markle signed with talent agency WME, which will represent Archewell, the content creation label for the couple. While Markle’s team will explore opportunities in film and television production, brand partnerships, and overall business-building, acting will not be a focus.

However, some observers believe that these recent moves related to the website indicate that the couple’s lives and business ventures have been losing focus and interest from the US public.
