DETROIT — Authorities have charged four individuals in connection with a shooting incident that occurred during an outdoor event in Detroit, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to five others.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office reported that Johnny Lee Marsh III, aged 25, Eladeo Garcia, 22, and Alfonso Anaya, 18, faced arraignment on charges including first-degree murder and assault with intent to murder. These individuals were formally charged on Saturday.

In addition, Amber McIntee, 22, was charged with tampering with evidence and providing false information to law enforcement.

Law enforcement responded to reports of a significant gathering on the city’s west side, where shots were fired from a vehicle into a crowded area at approximately 1:30 a.m. on November 3, as stated by the prosecutor’s office.

After the shooting, police pursued the vehicle and successfully apprehended Garcia and Marsh. Anaya and McIntee were taken into custody three days later.

The tragic incident resulted in the fatalities of a 15-year-old boy from Detroit and a 19-year-old man hailing from Southgate. The remaining five victims, aged between 16 to 18, suffered injuries during the shooting.

The prosecutor’s office mentioned that the gunfire erupted following a reported argument.

Marsh and McIntee have requested public defenders to represent them in court, while there was no legal representation mentioned for Anaya. The prosecutor’s office reached out to Garcia’s lawyer on Monday, but no comments were available.

A probable cause conference has been scheduled for November 19, leading up to a preliminary examination set for November 26.
