Kamala Harris is riding on a wave of celebrity endorsements as LeBron James and JLo join–but will it matter?

Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a spirited speech in Las Vegas, declaring, “We will win!” and emphasizing a “new generation of leadership.” She highlighted her plans to bolster the economy and address key issues facing Americans.

Harris’s campaign has garnered endorsements from prominent figures across the political spectrum. Notably, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Vice President Dick Cheney have crossed party lines to support her candidacy.

Additionally, over 90 business leaders, including Mark Cuban and Magic Johnson, have endorsed Harris, praising her policies and commitment to democracy.

But the endorsement of celebrities is parenting the most media and social media coverage. Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez appeared at a Harris rally in Las Vegas, delivering an emotional speech emphasizing the importance of voting and denouncing derogatory remarks made at a Trump rally.

She said that Donald Trump’s campaign had offended “every Latino in this country” with his Sunday rally at MSG in New York, where a comedian mocked Puerto Rico.

NBA star LeBron James also endorsed Harris, stating, “When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me.”

These endorsements reflect a broad coalition rallying behind Harris’s vision for the future. But political experts question the real impact as an equal large number if stars supported Hillary Clinton who eventually lost the election to Trump.
