Joe Rogan has turned down a podcast interview with Vice President Kamala Harris after her team made several requests he found unworkable — though he says he still hopes the interview can happen. According to Rogan, Harris’s campaign wanted him to travel to her location and limit the conversation to just an hour, rather than his usual in-studio setup in Austin.

“They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and only do an hour,” Rogan shared on X. “I feel the best way is in the studio in Austin,” he added, clarifying that Harris’s team “has not passed on doing the podcast.”

Rogan’s Stance: Aiming for a Genuine Conversation

Despite turning down the current proposal, Rogan remains hopeful. “My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being,” he posted. “I really hope we can make it happen.”

This comes shortly after Rogan’s highly-publicized, three-hour in-studio interview with former President Donald Trump, which has already amassed over 37 million views on YouTube. Trump took the opportunity to joke about Harris’s hesitance to commit to a longer interview, suggesting she might find Rogan’s format challenging.

“Can you imagine Kamala doing this show? She’d be laying on the floor,” Trump laughed. “If she did, it would be a mess… ‘Call in the medics!’”

Talks with Harris Still Ongoing

Rogan confirmed during his conversation with Trump that discussions with Harris’s team are still underway but didn’t elaborate further. “I could imagine her doing this show. She was supposed to do it, and she might still do it,” he said. “I’d just try to have a conversation with her and hopefully get to know her as a human being.”

In the meantime, Harris has made several appearances on more traditional talk shows like “The View,” “The Howard Stern Show,” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” as she continues her campaign efforts leading up to the election.
