Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to halt Elon Musk’s $1 million daily giveaways, part of Musk’s America PAC campaign backing Trump.

Krasner argues that the sweepstakes constitute an illegal lottery under Pennsylvania law, alleging the PAC’s failure to provide complete contest rules and transparency in the selection process.

Though election law experts have raised concerns over potential vote-buying, Krasner’s lawsuit focuses on lottery violations.

The move comes as Pennsylvania remains a pivotal state in the 2024 election, drawing recent visits from both Harris and Trump.

President Biden criticized the giveaway, calling it “totally inappropriate.”

Musk, who has pledged over $70 million to support Trump and Republicans, requires entrants to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments to qualify for the giveaway.
