An airstrike carried out by Israel in southeast Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of three media personnel, according to reports from Lebanon’s National News Agency on Friday.
The Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen TV confirmed that two of its employees were among those killed during the attack early Friday, while Al-Manar TV, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that their camera operator, Wissam Qassim, was also a victim of the airstrike in the Hasbaya region, an area that has largely avoided significant violence in the ongoing conflict near the border.
In addition to Qassim, Al-Mayadeen identified the fatalities as camera operator Ghassan Najar and broadcast technician Mohammed Rida, highlighting the tragic impact of the ongoing hostilities on journalists working in the region.
