Haason Reddick is set to conclude his prolonged holdout with the New York Jets and will be reporting to the team on Monday.
Agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed on Sunday that Reddick has come to an arrangement regarding an adjusted contract for the current season, with both parties committed to pursuing a longer-term deal in the future.
This agreement was reached less than a week after Reddick received permission from the Jets to seek a trade, having not participated in any games this season due to a contract disagreement with the Jets, who acquired him from Philadelphia in late March to strengthen their pass-rushing capabilities.

Reports indicate that Reddick’s return was first announced by ESPN, while the NFL Network revealed that the Jets have agreed to handle $12 million in NFL-mandated fines that Reddick accrued as a bonus for his return to the team.
Rosenhaus, who has recently become Reddick’s agent along with Ryan Matha, mentioned last week that Reddick “would like to be a New York Jet for years to come,” prior to Jets owner Woody Johnson’s statement during the NFL’s fall meetings that the team would permit Reddick to explore trade options.
However, it appears that Reddick will remain with the Jets for at least the remainder of this season.

Having been the last outstanding holdout in the NFL, the prominent edge rusher has not been present with the Jets since the trade was finalized and he passed his physical on April 1.
Reddick, aged 30, was placed on the reserve/did not report list on July 25, shortly after training camp began. Although he requested a trade on August 12, general manager Joe Douglas quickly dismissed this request, stating that the Jets would not fulfill Reddick’s desires.

As the Jets prepare to take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday night following a tumultuous couple of weeks, they recently made significant changes to their coaching staff.
The team shockingly let go of head coach Robert Saleh on October 8, promoting defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich to interim head coach, and demoting offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in favor of passing game coordinator Todd Downing.

In a move that had long been anticipated, the Jets completed a trade to bring wide receiver Davante Adams from Las Vegas last Tuesday, reuniting him with his former Green Bay teammate, Aaron Rodgers.
Adams, who sat out the Raiders’ last three games, was expected to be on the field against the Steelers.
With Reddick finally joining the defensive lineup, the Jets may have a much-needed boost.

Initially, Reddick was slated to receive a non-guaranteed base salary of $14.25 million in the last year of his contract but sought a long-term extension from the Eagles, who decided against providing a new deal. Seeking change, Reddick requested a trade and ultimately landed in New York.
During a conference call addressing Saleh’s dismissal, Johnson made an earnest appeal to Reddick to join the Jets, stating, “Haason, get in your car, drive down (Interstate) 95 and come to the New York Jets. We can meet you and give you an escort right into the building, and you’ll fit right in. And you’re going to love it here, and you’re going to feel welcome and you’re going to accomplish great things with us.”

Reddick, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, boasts an impressive career tally of 58 sacks over seven seasons in the NFL, and his addition is expected to enhance the Jets’ defensive prowess significantly.
