In a highly anticipated Week 7 clash, the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) head west to take on the San Francisco 49ers (3-3) in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl. The Chiefs, the reigning champions, come off a bye week, well-rested and eager to continue their undefeated run. While they’ve had some offensive inconsistencies due to injuries, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have proven why Kansas City remains the team to beat.

The 49ers, meanwhile, are looking to shake off their shaky start to the season and build on their Week 6 thrashing of the Seattle Seahawks. This game offers a prime opportunity for San Francisco to avenge last year’s Super Bowl loss and prove they’re still contenders.

Expert Predictions

  • Lorenzo Reyes: Chiefs 23, 49ers 21
Kansas City thrives after a bye, and with San Francisco’s defense not as dominant as expected, Mahomes and Reid should exploit the gaps. The health of 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) could play a big role in the game’s outcome.
  • Tyler Dragon: Chiefs 23, 49ers 20
Mahomes has never lost to the 49ers, including in two Super Bowls. San Francisco’s resurgence in Week 6 was promising, but Kansas City’s knack for winning close games should carry them to another victory.
  • Richard Morin: 49ers 27, Chiefs 25
San Francisco is due for a big win. Brock Purdy has been impressive and will lead the Niners to a crucial victory, handing the Chiefs their first loss of the season.
  • Jordan Mendoza: 49ers 23, Chiefs 21
The 49ers haven’t been consistent this season, but with the home crowd backing them and the motivation to avenge their Super Bowl loss, they could edge out the Chiefs in a tightly contested matchup.

With the stakes high and playoff aspirations looming, both teams will be eager to make a statement in this prime-time rematch.
