A new book by Bob Woodward, War, reveals President Joe Biden’s private frustrations with foreign leaders, exposing his frequent use of strong language. Despite his calm public demeanor, Biden is described as regularly venting in explicit terms about other world leaders. Notably, he reportedly called Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a “bad f***ing guy” due to rising tensions over the Gaza conflict. Biden’s irritation with Netanyahu has grown, especially after the lukewarm response to Washington’s efforts to address the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Biden’s frustration also extends to other leaders. For example, he described Vladimir Putin as “the epitome of evil” and referred to Donald Trump as a “sick f***.” These remarks highlight the president’s intense emotions during critical moments in his administration. Biden’s displeasure with Netanyahu in particular reflects a strained relationship that has worsened as Israeli actions, particularly during the Gaza war, have clashed with U.S. interests.

Swearing tirades

Woodward’s book also touches on the atmosphere inside the White House, where Biden’s temper can flare. The president has been known to harshly reprimand his staff, occasionally resorting to strong language. Aides have reported being on the receiving end of his outbursts, with phrases like “Don’t fing bullshit me!” and “Get the fout of here!” being used in moments of frustration.

Vice President Kamala Harris is also mentioned in the book, with Woodward describing how she and Biden occasionally share candid moments where they can openly curse without reservation. According to the book, Harris joked about Biden appreciating her ability to use expletives just as fluently as he does.

This portrait of Biden offers a glimpse into his intense behind-the-scenes dealings, showing a leader who uses strong language to express his feelings about global events and the people who shape them.
