Allar scores 4 touchdowns as No. 10 Penn State defeats Kent State

Penn State dominated Kent State with a 56-0 victory as Drew Allar threw three touchdown passes and scored a rushing touchdown. The Nittany Lions outgained Kent State by a whopping 718-67 yards, holding them to only six first downs and forcing 10 punts. This performance shattered a program record dating back to 1926.

Kent State faced a tough start after losing their top two quarterbacks to injuries early in the game. Despite a stronger defensive start compared to their previous week’s performance, where they allowed 37 points in the first quarter, Kent State struggled to keep up with Penn State once their quarterbacks were sidelined.

Drew Allar showcased stellar play, completing 17 of 21 passes for 309 yards and leading the Penn State offense effectively. Tyler Warren, Nick Singleton, Liam Clifford, Omari Evans, and Khalil Dinkins all caught touchdown passes, contributing to Penn State’s commanding victory.

Moving forward, Kent State will face Eastern Michigan next Saturday, while Penn State will host No. 24 Illinois on the same day. The Nittany Lions have shown strength in their offense, especially when Allar finds his rhythm, making them a formidable opponent with a diverse set of offensive weapons.
