Nikki Haley to Host Weekly Talk Show on SiriusXM Radio Through January

Former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is embarking on a new venture by hosting her own radio talk show on SiriusXM, scheduled to debut next week. The show will be broadcast once a week until at least the inauguration of the new president. Airing on SiriusXM’s Triumph channel on Wednesdays from 8 to 9 a.m. ET, Haley’s show will feature interviews, listener calls, political discussions, and will also include topics like Clemson football, running, and music, potentially even mentioning Taylor Swift.

While Haley’s political stance will be apparent on the show, she expressed a desire to move away from the prevalent tribalism in the media landscape. In an interview with The Associated Press, she shared her observation that her children do not watch the news due to the perceived extremity of both sides. Haley aims to present information in a way that empowers people by removing the noise and chaos often found in political discourse.

Having been the last opponent against former President Donald Trump in the GOP nomination race, Haley eventually endorsed and supported Trump at the convention. Despite their recent cooperation discussions, Haley clarified that her radio show will not be centered on promoting any specific candidate’s campaign. She also revealed that she declined offers from partisan news outlets, highlighting that her experience during the campaign shed light on the biased nature of the media.

Haley emphasized the importance of addressing issues on a policy level without partisan influence to serve the public interest. She expressed openness to extending the show beyond January if it resonates positively with the audience’s preferences. The show is an opportunity for Haley to engage with listeners in a more balanced and informative setting, free from overt political agendas.
