Brady Cook led No. 6 Missouri to a 27-21 victory over No. 24 Boston College with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. The Tigers, now 3-0, had Nate Noel rush for 121 yards and Blake Craig kick four field goals. Despite trailing 14-3 early in the second quarter, Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz praised his team’s response and commitment during the game.

Cook completed 21 of 30 passes for 264 yards, connecting with Luther Burden III for a 19-yard touchdown. Noel tied the game at 14 with a 2-point conversion after the touchdown. Cook later scored a 6-yard rushing touchdown to give Missouri a 24-14 lead in the third quarter. Craig sealed the win with a 31-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Boston College’s Thomas Castellanos threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns but also had two interceptions. The Eagles struggled with just 49 yards rushing on 26 carries. Coach Bill O’Brien commended Castellanos for his efforts despite the challenges faced during the game.

Missouri’s defense stepped up in the second half, holding Boston College to seven points and negative rushing yards. Burden, with six catches for 117 yards, expressed disappointment in not being on a bigger stage for the game between two ranked opponents.

Missouri faces the challenge of improving discipline and composure, as they head into SEC play with eight penalties for 78 yards in the game. The team will need to address issues such as personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct moving forward.

Next, Boston College will host Michigan State, while Missouri will kick off SEC play by hosting Vanderbilt.
