In El Cariso Village, Riverside County, the devastation was visible with multiple homes and vehicles engulfed in flames. The steep terrain and dry conditions have made it challenging for firefighters to contain the infernos, especially in areas that have not seen wildfires in decades.
In San Bernardino County, a man suspected of arson was arrested, underscoring the challenges authorities face in dealing with deliberate fire-setting incidents. The blaze has led to evacuations and damaged structures, adding to the strain on resources.
Near the Nevada border with California, the Davis Fire caused widespread evacuations and property damage, prompting many to seek shelter in evacuation centers. Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading further despite adverse weather conditions.
