This substantial amount will be allocated towards a $370 million paid media effort and supporting over 2,000 field staff across more than 310 locations in battleground states.
Harris’ fundraising success in August followed her previous achievement of raising $310 million in July, primarily after taking over President Joe Biden’s campaign when he withdrew from the race that month. This strategic move has enabled the Democratic party to recover from the fundraising advantage Trump had built up in the earlier months, attributed to concerns about Biden’s candidacy affecting donor and voter enthusiasm.
