The Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona is facing a temporary restriction on overnight hotel stays due to a series of breaks in the main water pipeline serving the park. This restriction will remain in place through the busy Labor Day holiday period. The Transcanyon Waterline, responsible for supplying water to the park, has encountered four major breaks, leading to this decision by park authorities. As a result, all hotel accommodations within the park, including El Tovar, Bright Angel Lodge, Maswik Lodge, and Phantom Ranch, will be affected, according to Grand Canyon spokeswoman Joelle Baird. However, overnight stays in hotels outside the park in Tusayan town will not be impacted.
