Kate Middleton, 42, was seen in high spirits as she attended Sunday service at Crathie Kirk with her husband, Prince William, and other members of the Royal Family. This marks her first public appearance at the Scottish church since she revealed her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

Joining the couple were King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their son, and Sir Tim Laurence. The royal family members were all photographed arriving at the historic church in their respective vehicles, with William behind the wheel, smiling and chatting with Kate, who wore a familiar ensemble.

The Princess of Wales donned the same hat she wore last year for a Sunday service at Crathie Kirk. She paired the dark brown wool felt fedora with feathers from Hicks & Brown, which retailed for £99, with a beige tartan Marlborough trench coat from Holland Cooper, creating a classic and chic look.

William opted for a navy blue suit, while King Charles and Queen Camilla added a touch of color with their Scottish tartan ensembles. Camilla wore a bright green blazer with red collar detailing and buttons, paired with a matching hat, while Charles made a dapper statement in a kilt and muted grey jacket. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also embraced the season, wearing chic beige outfits perfect for the end of summer.

Kate’s appearance at Crathie Kirk follows her gradual return to public life after announcing her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. In March, she shared an emotional video message revealing that she had undergone major abdominal surgery and was receiving preventative chemotherapy. Despite her health challenges, Kate has managed to attend significant events, including this year’s Trooping the Colour and the Wimbledon men’s singles final, which she attended with Princess Charlotte.

The annual holiday at Balmoral is a cherished tradition for the royal family, offering them a chance to relax and enjoy the peaceful Scottish countryside. Long walks, fishing, and cycling through the estate’s leafy grounds are typical pastimes for William and Kate, who have been spending summers at Balmoral since their wedding in 2011.

Kate’s appearance at Crathie Kirk is seen as a positive sign of her recovery. In her March message, she expressed gratitude for the support she had received and spoke about the importance of focusing on her recovery while reassuring the public that she was making progress.
