A collision between two tractor-trailers and a truck carrying potentially explosive military devices on Interstate 40 in Arkansas resulted in one fatality and caused significant traffic congestion on the busy highway, authorities revealed. The incident occurred near Brinkley, approximately 63 miles east of Little Rock, following a nearby grass fire. Fortunately, no additional injuries were recorded, according to Dave Parker, a spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Transportation. The truck carrying the volatile military cargo was involved in the crash, although specific details regarding the nature of the explosives were not disclosed by Parker. As a precautionary measure, bomb disposal experts were deployed, the vicinity of the accident was evacuated, and the military devices were safely extracted from the scene. Traffic in both directions was redirected for the duration of the night, with the interstate reopening for travel late Tuesday morning.
