Don’t use them as weapons in your divorce. And don’t demonize your husband. This is exactly what your mother did when she was separating from your father, and it led to a lonely and traumatic childhood for you. Why inflict the same pain on your own kids?”
Morel, who was intimately familiar with the dynamics of the Jolie family, recalled how Bertrand struggled with the betrayal she felt from Voight, leading to a strained relationship with her daughter, Angelina. “Marcheline could barely stand to look at Angie when she was a baby because she resembled her father so much. The household was tense, and Angie was often left in the care of multiple nannies, which made for a very unsettled upbringing.”
