Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s sister, Kerry Kennedy, sharply criticized him for endorsing former President Trump, calling it an “inexplicable effort” to undermine their father’s legacy.
On MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki,” Kerry expressed her outrage, stating, “I am appalled and disgusted by my brother’s overt and obscene support for Donald Trump. I completely disassociate myself from Robert Kennedy Jr. and reject this flagrant and senseless act to tarnish and destroy our father’s memory.”
The Kennedy family, including Kerry, released a statement condemning Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement, describing it as a betrayal of the values cherished by their family and their father. Kerry reaffirmed her support for Vice President Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, asserting that their father would have been vehemently opposed to Trump’s policies.
Kerry emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming election, stating, “The stakes this November couldn’t be higher. That’s why my family is committed to reelecting Kamala Harris and Coach Walz, who embody the values we have fought for.
Donald Trump represents the complete antithesis of these values and poses a threat to fundamental freedoms, including women’s rights, community safety, and personal freedom.”
She also underscored that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent candidacy has been consistently opposed by the family. “Trump’s agenda is diametrically opposed to everything Bobby has dedicated his life to, especially his environmental advocacy,” Kerry added.
