Toronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Bowden Francis had an impressive performance against the Los Angeles Angels, pitching six no-hit innings. Despite walking two batters and hitting one, Francis managed to strike out a career-high of 10 players. Throughout the game, he threw a total of 82 pitches, with 58 of them being strikes.
The 28-year-old Francis had recently been honored as the American League Player of the Week, following his outstanding performance in two starts where he recorded a 2-0 record with an impressive 0.64 ERA. In his first matchup, he pitched seven strong innings in a victory against the Angels on August 12.
As of now, the Blue Jays are leading the Angels with a score of 2-0 in the game where Francis showcased his dominant pitching skills.
