One person killed and seven wounded in shooting at Baltimore event, police report

A shooting incident in Baltimore has resulted in one fatality and left seven others injured, as informed by the city’s police authorities. The incident took place at a gathering in east Baltimore, with multiple individuals reportedly opening fire just after 8 p.m. on Sunday. Police Commissioner Richard Worley stated that upon arrival, officers found several victims and multiple firearms at the scene.

Among the casualties, a 36-year-old man lost his life, while the conditions of the wounded individuals varied from critical to stable. The injured victims were reported to be between the ages of 22 and 45 years old according to initial reports. The identity of the deceased individual has not been disclosed as of yet, with the investigation ongoing.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott expressed his commitment to holding those responsible for the violent act accountable. In a statement shared on social media, he urged individuals with knowledge of the incident’s perpetrators, even if they are loved ones, to come forward and encourage them to take responsibility.
