Polish cyclist Kasia Niewiadoma emerged victorious in a thrilling competition against her competitor Demi Vollering on the famed Alpe d’Huez to claim the women’s Tour de France title by a slim margin of four seconds. During the eighth and final stage, Vollering joined forces with fellow Dutch rider Pauliena Rooijakkers after the Col du Glandon and made a powerful sprint in the concluding stretch to secure the stage win. However, Niewiadoma’s fourth-place finish proved to be enough for her to secure her first Tour de France victory with an overall time of 24 hours, 36 minutes, and 7 seconds.
