New democratic candidate Kamala Harris surges in poll of polls – and leads Trump with 46.4 % to 43.4 %

Kamala Harris is experiencing a surge in national polls. On average, over the past two weeks, Harris is now leading Donald Trump 46.4% to 43.4%.

Just two weeks ago, the race was a dead heat, with both candidates tied at 44%. Since then, Harris has gained ground, while Trump has seen a slight decline of one percentage point.

The third candidate, JF Kennedy, holds steady at 5.2%.

Harris’ largest lead comes from the latest Outward Intelligence poll, conducted between August 11 and August 15, where she leads Trump by 6 points, 49% to 43%, with Kennedy at 7%.

In addition to her polling lead, Harris’ favorability rating has risen significantly since she was nominated as Biden’s successor, jumping from 38% two weeks ago to an average of 44.4% across all polls.

A new Emerson College poll shows that, for the first time, a majority of American voters—51%—view Harris favorably. In contrast, only 43% see Trump favorably, with 52.2% viewing him unfavorably.
