Forbes reveals: Kristin Hannah’s novel “The Women” is the bestselling book of 2024 so far

Forbes has named Kristin Hannah’s novel The Women as the bestselling book of 2024 so far.

According to data from Circana Bookscan, which tracks book sales, The Women—a story about a young American woman serving as an Army nurse in Vietnam—has sold 829,115 copies up to June 8 this year.

In second place is Sarah J. Maas’ House of Flame and Shadow, which has sold 536,346 copies. Emily Henry’s Funny Story follows at No. 3 with 300,289 copies sold.

Freida McFadden’s The Teacher ranks fourth with 289,949 copies sold, while Ali Hazelwood’s Bride is fifth with 233,955 copies.

The remainder of the top 10 includes Abby Jimenez’s Just For the Summer, Ashley Elston’s First Lie Wins, Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation, Erik Larson’s The Demon of Unrest, and Stephen King’s You Like It Darker.

Kristin Hannah, an award-winning and bestselling author, will release The Women on February 6, 2024. Her previous works include The Four WindsThe Great Alone, and The Nightingale, all of which have garnered critical acclaim and commercial success. The Nightingale is currently in pre-production for a film adaptation, and Firefly Lane, another of her popular novels, was adapted into a successful Netflix series starring Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke.
