A police officer from Ohio was charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, and felonious assault following the shooting of Ta’Kiya Young, a 21-year-old pregnant Black woman. The tragic incident occurred in a grocery store parking lot last August. The officer, identified as Connor Grub from Blendon Township police, allegedly shot Young through her windshield after she declined to exit her vehicle, which began moving towards him. As a result of the shooting, Young and the baby she was carrying, who was due in November, lost their lives. Grub’s legal representation was not listed in court records, and no comment was immediately available from Blendon Township police.
