GUCCI – Resort 2025

I envision an aesthetic where I embody the persona of the effortlessly chic girl, donning trendy daisy jeans paired with an oversized shirt.

Gucci’s latest allure is captivating in its effortless charm, exuding a hint of nonchalance and a touch of playfulness.

Sabato de Sarno is not being provided the opportunity to gradually acclimate to the role and curate a collection. Tagwalk specializes in runway analysis with a vast user base of over 300,000 active users and an extensive database of millions of data points. Breaking news: there is a significant surge in searches for Gucci (+144%). And here’s a little insider tip:

One key indicator of a successful collection is when designers actively seek out a particular brand. Why is this? Because luxury and mass market sectors are closely intertwined. While it’s true that Inditex will likely draw inspiration from Gucci’s Cruise collection, the collaboration between mass market and high-end luxury ultimately benefits both. As mass market brands emulate luxury designs, this can drive increased sales for luxury brands among the affluent 1% of consumers.

And that’s when Gucci becomes a trend.

Within this vibrant fashion landscape, prominent designers like Alessandro Michele possess the ability to assert their vision in such a compelling manner that it evokes a polarizing response reminiscent of “marmite” – one either loves it or hates it wholeheartedly. (In my case, I am wholeheartedly a fan.)

You also have notable designers like Hedi Slimane at Celine, Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior, and Sabato de Sarno at Gucci, who epitomize a sociologically-inspired approach to fashion.

You know how I can be certain? Because no matter how much dislike one may have, the facts speak for themselves. Hedi Slimane, Maria Grazia Chiuri, and Sabato de Sarno are excelling in their roles and delivering exceptional results.

Was the cruise show flawless? Unfortunately, it wasn’t. Did I appreciate the suedes? Regrettably, I did not. Did I find the ballet flats appealing? Again, the answer is no.

I absolutely adored the denims, the skirts, the intricate embroideries, the vibrant color palettes, the classic tennis socks paired with black high loafers, the music, and the elegant jewelry. Everything just clicked perfectly.

Kering has faced some recent turbulence with significant changes in personnel and underwhelming Q1 financial results. However, amidst this upheaval, Sabato de Sarno has recently joined the team and deserves a chance to make his mark. Burgundy evokes images of Gucci, as does the patent skirt paired with the oversized hoodie – a signature look that is synonymous with the brand. De Sarno is skillfully evolving Gucci’s aesthetic, expanding beyond the confines of the runway and into a realm of timeless sophistication.

Sarno has recently welcomed Stefano Cantino to provide him with valuable direction and guidance. In addition, he is supported by Jonathan Kiman, whose unparalleled vision and marketing expertise set him apart in the industry. Furthermore, Sarno has a distinct advantage — a younger audience who enthusiastically appreciates his designs.

Sabato: you do you. You do your cool girl. I liked it. And I want to buy it.
