A man from Alabama, identified as Stacy Lee Drake, faces a third murder charge in Oklahoma, as stated by Sequoyah County District Attorney Jack Thorp. The murder charge is related to the shooting death of Phillip Emerson in El Reno on June 14. Drake had previously been charged with the murder of Tara Huber Underwood and Taylor Sharp at a business in Gans on June 18. Thorp emphasized the impact of Drake’s actions, describing them as senseless and violent, and highlighting the need for justice for the victims and their families.

Drake’s attorney declined to provide a comment on the matter. In addition to the murder charges, Drake is also facing allegations of robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, and a pattern of criminal offenses in Canadian County, allowing prosecutors to charge him for the murder in El Reno.

According to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, Sheriff’s Capt. Jack Kennedy, there is a murder warrant for Drake in Alabama, although formal charges are not visible in court records. A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa County sheriff was not available for immediate comment.

An affidavit in the Oklahoma slayings indicates that Drake allegedly killed Emerson in El Reno and stole his truck. The stolen vehicle was later discovered near the scene of the murders in Gans, which is approximately 100 miles east of Oklahoma City. Moreover, Underwood’s vehicle, taken from Gans, was located at a motel in Morrilton, Arkansas, about 40 miles northwest of Little Rock, where Drake was eventually apprehended in a nearby wooded area.
