Jin Mi Jo and Mi Rae Kim of North Korea expressed their desire to aim for the gold in the future, despite falling short in the synchronized event. The duo mentioned that they will strive harder next time to secure the top position. North Korea did not participate in the Tokyo Olympics due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
