Harry Hall clinches victory at ISCO Championship with birdie putt from 45 feet on 3rd playoff hole

In Nicholasville, Kentucky, 26-year-old Englishman Harry Hall secured his first PGA Tour title at the ISCO Championship by chipping in for birdie from 45 feet on the third playoff hole. He finished with a 3-under 69 to tie with Matt NeSmith, Pierceson Coody, Zac Blair, and Rico Hoey at 22-under 266 at Keene Trace’s Champions Course, a European tour co-sanctioned event.

Hall managed to save par on the first playoff hole after hitting into the rough, a front greenside bunker, and then making a chip shot to within a foot. He clinched the victory on the next trip down 18 with a successful chip on the 209-yard par-3 ninth, as NeSmith and Coody missed their attempts from behind the hole.

Matt NeSmith and Zac Blair shot 64 each, playing ahead of the final pairing, while Pierceson Coody, the leader after the initial three rounds, carded a 70. Rico Hoey, who led by one stroke going into the final hole, ended up with a bogey after his wedge shot bounced over the green and into the rocks by a pond, resulting in a final round score of 69.

Neal Shipley tied for sixth at 20 under after a closing 70, marking his third PGA Tour start as a professional. Notably, Shipley was the low amateur at both the Masters and U.S. Open. Other players at 20 under included S.Y. Noh, Ben Taylor, and Sam Bairstow.

Luke Clanton finished tied for 37th at 13 under after shooting a final round of 71. Last week, the Florida State sophomore made headlines by tying for second in the John Deere Classic, becoming the first amateur since 1958 to secure top-10 finishes in consecutive PGA Tour-sanctioned events.
