The divorce rumors have surfaced following the release of Lopez’s three-part $20 million tribute to Affleck, showcased through the musical sci-fi film “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” her single “This Is Me… Now,” and the Amazon Prime documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
In recent months, Lopez has attended several public events alone. Speculation intensified when she appeared solo at the Met Gala, where she served as a co-chair on May 6.
It is rumored that Lopez’s solo appearances are because Affleck has reportedly moved out of their home.
“Ben Affleck has hit a breaking point with Jennifer Lopez and has moved out of the home they share,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “The writing is on the wall — it’s over,” the insider revealed. “They’re headed for a divorce — and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!”
The source added, “He’s focusing on his work and his kids now. Ben already moved out, and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
The couple first got together in the early 2000s, becoming one of Hollywood’s most talked-about pairs. They planned to marry in 2003, but called off the ceremony just days before, citing intense media scrutiny as a significant factor.
