Although Donald Trump made a big deal about attending his son Barron’s high school graduation, he has now added another commitment for that same day—one far from the graduation venue.
The former president has agreed to be the keynote speaker at the Republican Party of Minnesota’s annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner, according to KFGO radio.
The event is scheduled for May 17, the same day Barron will graduate from high school in Palm Beach, Florida, which also coincides with a day off from Trump’s ongoing hush money trial in New York.
It’s not unusual for Trump to schedule events in different states on the same day. A source close to the Trump campaign says he plans to attend both the graduation and the dinner.
