We witness in these days the biggest and most astonishing political comeback of all times: Donald Trump is on the way back to the White House. And it seems that nobody can stop him.
The victory for Trump in the Republican primary of Iowa was impressive. He has doubled his share of voters compared with last time in 2016 – not only at his declared fan base of farmers, blue collar workers, low income people but (much more important) also in target groups where he always was traditionally weak: with women, with college educated Americans, with young people and especially in the metropolitan and suburban areas.
Donald Trump rides in this 2024 primary on a wave of support of his Republican party. It would be no surprise if he would win New Hampshire and South Dakota – the two strongholds of Nikki Haley – also by more than 10 percent advantage and if his nomination would already be sort of finalized after Super Tuesday at the beginnig of march.
The success of Trump in the primaries will make him to the big, very big favourite of the Election in November. And if no surprise happens (and with Donald Trump you always have to expect all sorts of possible surprises) Trump is on his way to the White House.
Why can Trump have this incredible success under these circumstances? The whole media (except of Fox news) ist strongly against him, most of the US Opinion leaders are strongly against him, the whole juridical system is against him – but nobody cares.
There are five reasons why Trump will become our next president:
– First (as Clinton always said): It’s the economy. Inflation is high, interest rates are crazy, especially the grocerys are incredible expensive, Americans can afford less than four years ago. Trump is seen as the much better economy leader than Joe Biden – he is a business guy, America was better off under his presidency. People remember this and want more money in their pockets again.
– Second: Voters see the immigration surge as the biggest problem in 2024. Trump is much stronger on this issue than “weak Joe”. From New York to Texas to California – most US citizens want to stop this foreign invasion at the border streaming directly in the cities like NY. Trump is the “dictator” who promises to stop the immigration invasion in short time.
– Third: Joe Biden is the most unpopular US president in history, with a terrible approval rating, worse than Jimmy Carter. 80 % of the Americans want to get rid of him. It’s easy for every candidate (even for Nikki Haley) to win against “Sleepy Joe”. Trump will win easily because he has his first presidency as a prove of doing better.
– Fourth: The new Donald Trump is a better Donald Trump than the one from 2016. He is now a much broader candidat – for young people, for women, especially for the cities (with his initiatives against crime) and for the suburbs (with his promise to stop inflation and bring more money in the pockets). And with the right choice of a liberal Vice president (and this can only be Nikki Haley) he will even broaden his appeal to women and educated people.
– And fifth: The hope of the left and the Democrats to stop Trump with all sorts of indictments has completely backfired. Americans don’t like political justice – they are fanatics for political fairness.They know that most indictments against Trump are politically motivated, that he would never be prosecuted if he wouldn’t run for office again.
And this is the most important point for his comeback: Donald Trump is the best political showman of the world, he is the perfect television entertainer. He even makes it possible to turn a courtroom into a TV studio, to make a personality show out of every indictment.
Any other guy would be morally and financially destroyed with four indictments and 95 felony charges. But Trump gets full financial support full publicity and even full sympathy out of these very substantial trials.
From the last Trump win in 2016 we know: The more television time Trump gets the higher he wins. And Trump will be much more on air and in all media in this spring and summer as even Taylor Swift.
Trump is the TV and show star of the year 2024. And that’s the most important reason why he will ride on the wave of his MAGA-show directly to the White House again.
