World Series: Dodgers win first game in LA in extra inning with home run from Freeman after Ohtani tied the game and the Yankees were on the brink to win

The LA Dodgers set their home city Los Angeles on fire late Friday night when Freddie Freeman made an impressing home run last minute in the 10 th inning which gave the Dodgers a 6 – 3 – win in the first, very important game of the World Series.
The whole city was celebrating like crazy nearly all the n night in thousands of public viewing in bars, pubs and on the street.
The first game in the most exciting World Series for years was a 0 – 0 – tie for the first five innings. The Yankees had the advantage first, but Ohtani scored a run for the tie at the end of regular time. In the extra inning the Yankees once again had the first point and the advantage – but only minutes before a tragic end Freddie Freeman hit an unbelievable home run and brought the first win in the World Serie to Los Angeles.

Freddie Freeman hit the first game-ending grand slam in World Series history with two outs in the 10th inning, giving the Los Angeles Dodgers a 6-3 victory over the New York Yankees in a dramatic opener Friday night.

Hobbled by a badly sprained ankle, Freeman homered on the first pitch he saw — an inside fastball from Nestor Cortes — and then dropped his bat before beginning a trot while greeted with a roar from the sellout crowd of 52,394.

In the top of the 10th, Anthony Volpe grounded into a fielder’s choice to shortstop, scoring Jazz Chisholm Jr. from third after he stole two bases, to give the Yankees a 3-2 lead.

It was the third straight World Series opener to go extra innings.
The crowd in Dodgers stadium went completely crazy like the whole city of LA – everybody was celebrating in the streets, the bars, and for more than one hour in the stadium.
