Wintour’s desperate power move against Melania Trump failed

Vogues is no longer what it used to be. It turned into a tool for Anna Wintour to show she has some power. But does she really? Maybe she used to in the fashion world, but those times are long gone. She tries to bring her agendas across, but I think a stupid move, like not putting Melania Trump on the cover, is just showing what a frustrated and petty woman she actually is.

I as a publisher would actually intervene and show Anna her place. Vogue is dieing and to be honest on the hands of Anna Wintour. But that’s a story on it’s own. But honestly who cares. Vogue is not en vogue anymore. Hasn’t been for a long time. There are so many new digital platforms out there, which understand women much better. Don’t put women in a certain box. Don’t give rules, how a woman should think, who a woman has to vote for, what designer we have to wear. womanedit.com is one of theses great examples, what real women nowadays think and how they want to live their lives.

The publisher’s catty carping in the wake of Melania’s recent official White house portrait (pictured) suggests that there has been little thawing in relations.

The funniest thing about it is that Anna Wintour really thinks that our current First Lady needs this recognition. No she doesn’t. No President has won with such overwhelming majority in a long time. And we all know that the wife plays a big part in such success. So people already love her.

Melania Trump, doesn’t need a Vogue Cover. She is already the most fashionable and most elegant First lady ever (yes, even better than Jackie). She is a natural lady, with class, smarts and beauty. She is not loud (yes, I sad it), she doesn’t try to stay in the limelight with her husband the President, she creates her own. What an inspiration if you think about it.

Trump Melania

While he did his thing as president, she wrote a bestseller and made her own Millions. Now she made the biggest Amazon deal with her docu series. She is just doing her thing, not in his shadow and staying true to herself while doing that.

Trump Melania

What a woman. Think about Donald Trump what you want, but Melania is a class act and she is getting my full support. This is a First Lady I can look up to and she is a great role model for many young woman. Her traits like not being petty (not showing up to important events), chiming in and making below the belt comments, no, she doesn’t do that. And for that she gets all my respect.

So Anna Wintour. Nice that you tried to proof your point, but the majority of women in the United States don’t agree with you. And the smarter publications will put her on the cover and sell Millions. Your friend (or used to be friends) Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez recognized the value of our First Lady. So maybe you should try that as well. It is not about you. American Women are proud of their First Lady and want to see her. And again, if it’s not Vogue, than it’s some other magazine.

Former First ladies needed this confirmation of power and recognition. And for sure it is a nice tool for someone older like Jill Biden to get some liberal supporters. Or Michelle Obama showing with such cover that she is actually the powerful one in the Obama family. But let’s be honest we all knew that and didn’t need a cover for that. Everybody knew, I guess except Barack.

Also as a mother I have to give it to Melania. She did a wonderful job with Barron. He seems like a great young man. I doubt we will see him partying, getting drunk or hooking up non stop. No, on the contrary, he is already working on his own empire. With other students he founded his first business and starting to make money and be independent. I looks like not a spoiled brat, but a hard working young man with goals and dreams.
