Will Melania Trump also return to the White House? She will balance duty, family, and three homes–insider

If Donald Trump returns to the White House, many wonder if Melania Trump, the former first lady, will make Washington, D.C., her primary residence again.

PEOPLE magazine reached out to sources close to Melania, and while some say she’ll be present, her commitment may look different this time around.

“If Melania becomes first lady again, people expect her to move into the White House and fulfill her duties,” one social source close to the Trumps shared with PEOPLE. But sources suggest Melania, 54, isn’t too keen on a full-time return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

A Balancing Act Between Three Homes

According to one insider, Melania’s approach will likely involve balancing her time between multiple residences. “She’ll have her private living apartment in the White House, her home in New York, and her place at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach,” the source explained. “She’ll spend time in all these places.”

When asked if she’d make the White House her main residence, the source was clear: “Not likely.”

Family First: Melania’s Focus on Barron

With 18-year-old Barron Trump in his first year at New York University, Melania is reportedly eager to spend more time in New York with her son. “As much as she loves Mar-a-Lago, her son is her top priority,” the source said, adding that Melania will prioritize his well-being as he navigates his college years.

“If her husband is elected, she’ll attend key White House functions as expected. She knows what to do but has her own way of handling things,” the source noted. “That won’t change if Trump wins the election.”

An Insider’s Take: “A Very Happy Couple”

In contrast, another insider offered a different perspective. “Melania told me she is looking forward to returning to the White House with great joy,” they shared with US LIVE. “All other rumors are absolute nonsense. Since her son is in school in New York, she’ll naturally spend time at Trump Tower, and for relaxation and certain events, she’ll be in Florida.”

Summing up the situation, the insider remarked, “We see a very happy couple.”
