Wild theories: What is this mysterious brown spot on Trump’s hand?

At first, all eyes were on the lengthy, choreographed handshake between US President Donald Trump and visiting French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House. But soon, attention shifted to something far more intriguing.

Viral Photos Raise Health Concerns

A large brown spot was clearly visible on Trump’s right hand, resembling the aftermath of a bruise. Photos quickly went viral, sparking wild speculation about the 78-year-old’s health.

Social media users debated whether the mark could be the result of an IV infusion, with some suggesting it might be a hematoma from a recently removed needle. Theories ranged from dehydration treatment to a vitamin deficiency, fueling further online diagnoses.

Some noted that Trump had been seen with similar bruises on his right hand in the past—and at one point, was even spotted wearing a bandage. “It’s strange that it’s always the same hand,” one user commented on X.

Comparisons to Queen Elizabeth II

The speculation took an unexpected turn when users compared Trump’s hand to that of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who had visible bruises on her hands in the final week of her life. “Queen Elizabeth had similar marks on her hands shortly before she passed,” read one of the many comments circulating online.

Medical Expert Weighs In

A New York-based doctor contacted by US LIVE offered a possible explanation: the spot could be a side effect of blood-thinning medication, known as platelet aggregation inhibitors (THF), which prevent clotting. “This wouldn’t be a serious health concern,” the doctor reassured. However, he noted that Trump’s frequent use of self-tanner could make it harder to assess the discoloration accurately.

Similar Speculation Around Joe Biden

Trump isn’t the first president to face scrutiny over mysterious marks on his hands. Earlier this year, President Joe Biden was seen with a dark purple discoloration on his left hand, leading to speculation that he had received an IV. “For older individuals, veins in that area are the easiest to access,” explained a user on X.

Renewed Debate Over Trump’s Health Transparency

The controversy has reignited criticism over the lack of transparency surrounding Trump’s medical condition. During his first presidential campaign, his then-personal physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, famously declared in a one-page letter: “If elected, Mr. Trump will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

Bornstein later admitted that Trump had dictated the statement himself, adding yet another layer of intrigue to ongoing questions about the former president’s health.
