Wearing nothing but tape was the latest trend at a very naked New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) was transformed at the Angel Orensanz Foundation fête Sunday, where the boobies and bits of buxom models were barely covered by thin slices of tape.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation event during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) was completely transformed, reports the New York Post. Models with voluptuous figures strutted down the runway with only thin strips of tape barely covering their breasts and intimate areas.

Joel Alvarez, a fashion designer who calls himself the “king of tape,” posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “In a world full of sheep, be the mighty dragon that roars fearlessly.” The image showcased Alvarez’s skillful use of tape on the NYFW stage, attracting over 50,000 mesmerized viewers.

The video clip became a sensation on social media as Alvarez meticulously applied strips of tape to accentuate the curves of his catwalk models, covering their breasts, hips, thighs, and private parts. The audience was left in awe.

Attendees of the show were willing to spend as much as $999 for VIP passes, which included backstage access.

The models who walked down Alvarez’s risqué runway amazed the audience with their intricate patterns of black, neon green, iridescent, and pink tape, which artfully flattered their feminine frames.

While some of the designs focused on showcasing hourglass figures with bandage-style lingerie aesthetics, others stood out with sultry mosaic-inspired looks.

Alvarez, who shamelessly displays supple skin through his creations, is no stranger to stealing the spotlight at NYFW. His work has been praised by A-listers such as Billy Ray Cyrus and Rick Ross and has been featured in notable magazines like Maxim and Playboy.

In fact, Alvarez gained viral recognition after a humorous wardrobe malfunction at his 2022 showcase. The incident occurred as he celebrated 15 years of pushing the boundaries of styling. Despite this setback, his success in the industry has been consistent.

Alvarez admitted on his website that he initially struggled with tape couture, confessing, “I had no idea where to start. The design was so incomplete and extremely tight.” However, he persevered and discovered the beauty of adding lines and negative spaces to complement the body, captivating viewers with his unique creations.

Thanks to Alvarez’s influence, tape has become a popular choice for celebrities when it comes to fashion. Kim Kardashian shocked social media during the 2022 Paris fashion week when she rocked a head-to-toe body tape ensemble by Balenciaga. Other influential figures like Julia Fox and Nicki Minaj have also embraced this trend, using tape to protect their modesty and turn heads wherever they go.

Alvarez desires that his saucy creation endures for a significant period after his lifetime.

“I am aware that the form of body tape art will have a longevity that surpasses my own lifespan,” he expressed. “If I have not yet accomplished this, it will become my ultimate aspiration.”
