Unexpected French First Lady makes guest appearance in upcoming season of ‘Emily in Paris’

France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, has made an unexpected appearance in the fourth season of the popular Netflix series “Emily in Paris,” with certain parts of the season being released recently. Lily Collins, who portrays Emily Cooper in the show, revealed that Brigitte Macron is a big fan of the series during an interview with The Associated Press. Collins mentioned that the First Lady expressed her desire to be on the show when she met with her and Darren Star, the creator of the series, a few years ago. Collins described Brigitte Macron as kind, warm, and enthusiastic about the show, adding that it was an honor to share the screen with her, as they had a great time together with Brigitte even improvising during filming.

The First Lady played herself in one of the episodes of the new season, which marks the release of the first half of Season 4 on Netflix on Aug. 15. The cast recently traveled to Rome for the premiere of the new episodes, some of which are set in the Italian capital.
