Unearthed photos show Diddy and Jennifer Lopez in heated argument on same night of assault allegation

Newly uncovered photos show Sean “Diddy” Combs and then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez in a heated argument at a high-profile 2000 MTV VMAs afterparty—the same night Diddy now faces allegations of sexual assault against a minor, reports the Daily Mail.

The images, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, capture Lopez and Diddy in a dramatic confrontation at Lotus nightclub in New York City, where the couple, who dated from 1999 to 2001, were spotted with an entourage of celebrities.

According to a guest who witnessed the tense exchange, Diddy spent the evening holding a Cristal champagne bottle while tensions escalated with Lopez. At one point, Lopez, wearing a multicolor mini tube dress, was seen scowling at Diddy and walking away. Partygoers, including Lopez’s sister Lynda and manager Benny Medina, watched as the argument unfolded, eventually leading Diddy to make an early exit with Lopez and a group of guests.

The Lawsuit and Allegations

The resurfaced photos add a troubling layer to the evening now marred by serious allegations. A new lawsuit claims that, later that night, Diddy allegedly assaulted a 13-year-old girl at a separate location in front of two unnamed celebrities. The incident, described in detail by the plaintiff’s attorney Tony Buzbee, allegedly involved forced interactions and physical restraint. Combs, who denies all allegations, is currently facing multiple legal challenges from both male and female plaintiffs alleging similar abuse.

A Night of Glitz Overshadowed by Disturbing Claims

The couple’s attendance at the VMAs, where Lopez wore an iconic all-white ensemble earlier that night, was supposed to be a celebratory affair—Lopez had just won Best Dance Video for her hit “Waiting for Tonight.” However, the resurfaced photos reveal a turbulent backdrop as allegations surrounding that evening continue to surface, complicating the legacy of the once-celebrated couple.
