Two men in Oregon succumb to exposure in the woods while searching for Sasquatch.

Two men from Oregon were discovered deceased in a forest in Washington State after they did not come back from their adventure in search of Sasquatch, authorities announced on Saturday.

According to the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office, the two men, aged 59 and 37, likely succumbed to exposure due to the weather conditions and their lack of adequate preparation for the outing. This conclusion was shared on their official Facebook page.

Sasquatch, often referred to as Bigfoot, is a legendary creature that many believe roams the dense forests, particularly in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.

The bodies of the two men were located in a densely forested area within Gifford Pinchot National Forest, situated approximately 150 miles (240 kilometers) northeast of Portland, Oregon.

A family member raised the alarm regarding their disappearance at around 1 a.m. on Christmas Day, reporting that they had not returned from their Christmas Eve exploration.

Over the course of the three-day search operation, approximately sixty volunteer search-and-rescue team members participated, utilizing canines, drones, and ground teams to aid in the effort. Additionally, the Coast Guard contributed by employing infrared technology for aerial searches.

Authorities were able to pinpoint the location of the men’s vehicle based on camera footage, finding it near Oklahoma Road close to Willard, which is situated on the southern edge of the national forest.
