Trump lays out step by step how he plans for US to seize Gaza

President Donald Trump outlined his vision for a U.S. takeover of the Gaza Strip, insisting no military force would be required. In a Truth Social post, he stated that Israel would hand over Gaza to the U.S. once fighting concludes, allowing for a complete redevelopment of the war-torn region.

“The Palestinians… would have already been resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities, with new and modern homes, in the region,” Trump said, taking a jab at Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer.

Arab nations publicly reject, but may secretly approve

Despite public opposition from Arab nations, Trump’s plan has sparked speculation that regional leaders may support it behind closed doors to permanently remove Hamas from power.

While Trump claims Palestinians would be “happy, safe, and free” under his proposal, most Gaza residents have rejected any forced relocation. International criticism continues to mount, with rights groups warning of potential violations of international law.

Trump vows massive redevelopment without U.S. military presence

Trump emphasized that the U.S. would not deploy troops to enforce the transition but would oversee the removal of unexploded bombs, demolish damaged buildings, and create a booming economic hub.

“The U.S., working with great development teams from all over the world, would slowly and carefully begin the construction of what would become one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth,” he said.

His remarks follow his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office, where he declared that “all” Gaza residents should leave the territory.

Critics warn of forced displacement, legal battles ahead

Trump’s declaration that the U.S. will “own” Gaza has sparked backlash, with legal experts arguing it could violate international law. Palestinians fear they will never be allowed to return, and rights groups have labeled the plan as potential “forced displacement.”

With growing global opposition, Trump’s Gaza strategy is likely to face intense diplomatic and legal challenges in the coming weeks.
