Trump praised Hitler for ‘good things’ and his loyal staff around him – he also liked current despots

During his time as President of the United States, Donald Trump shockingly praised Adolf Hitler openly in the Oval Office.

According to former chief of staff John Kelly, Trump allegorically mentioned that the Nazi leader ‘did some positive things’.

Kelly’s experiences as Trump’s first top advisor in the chaotic early stages of his presidency were documented by author and CNN anchor Jim Sciutto in a newly released book titled “The Return of Great Powers”.

Trump expressed admiration for Hitler’s ability to stimulate the economy and his loyal staff. He wished he had a similar level of loyalty among his own staff.

Trump’s admiration for dictators extended beyond historical figures to include current leaders such as Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un, and Vladimir Putin.

He viewed Putin as a victim who was being pressured by NATO.

Kelly discussed Trump’s apparent authoritarian desires in an upcoming book by CNN’s Jim Sciutto, as the Huffington Post reports.

The former chief of staff suggested that Trump’s fondness for dictators stemmed from his own character.

According to Kelly, Trump was surprised by the limitations of presidential power compared to Congress. He seemed to envy the unilateral power wielded by leaders like Putin and Xi.

Kelly, along with other former Trump administration officials, expressed concerns about Trump’s readiness to lead in the current global political climate.

They believed that Trump’s admiration for authoritarian figures stemmed from his desire for power.
