Trump Picks ‘Real Housewives’ Alum for Holocaust Museum Board

  • Siggy Flicker, former Real Housewives star, was appointed to the Holocaust Memorial Council by President Trump, a noteworthy example of Trump Picks replacing Biden-era appointees.
  • Flicker has been outspoken about her support for Trump and Israel, sharing her views on social media as one of the prominent Trump Picks.
  • Her son, Tyler Campanella, was arrested in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot, but no evidence links Flicker to the events, despite her being one of the Trump Picks.

Trump Appoints Siggy Flicker to Holocaust Memorial Council

President Donald Trump appointed Siggy Flicker, a former star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, to the Holocaust Memorial Council. Trump made the announcement via his Truth Social platform. He praised Flicker and others, among his Trump Picks, calling them strong supporters of Israel. Trump emphasized that they would “ensure we NEVER FORGET,” celebrating their commitment to preserving history.

Flicker, 57, expressed her gratitude for the appointment. She thanked President Trump on Twitter, calling it a “privilege & honor” to represent the council. She added emojis of the American and Israeli flags to her tweet to emphasize her support for both nations.

Replacing Biden-Era Appointees on the Council

Flicker’s appointment comes as part of Trump’s decision to replace members appointed during the Biden administration. Trump terminated those appointees’ positions on April 29. This change is part of Trump’s ongoing efforts to reshape various advisory councils. Flicker and the other new members will now join the council, continuing Trump’s vision with these Trump Picks.

Flicker’s Political Beliefs and Experience on Bravo

Siggy Flicker has always been open about her political beliefs, which have sometimes influenced her career as one of Trump’s Picks. She has said Bravo producers punished her for her support of Trump. Flicker explained in an interview that her first season on The Real Housewives was a success. However, things changed when the producers discovered she had voted for Trump in 2016. They started portraying her differently, even though she felt she remained true to herself. She described herself as emotional, loving, and focused on relationships.

Son’s Involvement in January 6 Capitol Riot

Flicker’s son, Tyler Campanella, faced legal trouble after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. He was arrested on five misdemeanor charges connected to the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Campanella was arrested in New York City more than three years after the riot. Court documents show that his phone was traced to the Capitol during the attack, linking him to the event.

Flicker had posted pictures of Campanella on her social media. She expressed her support for him with captions like, “I love patriots so much. Stay safe Tyler. We love you.” She also shared the hashtag #StoptheSteal in her posts. The FBI investigated these posts, as they indicated possible involvement in the attack.

Campanella’s Actions During the Riot

The FBI confirmed that Campanella’s phone was inside the Capitol during the riot. Authorities found a phone number linked to Campanella at an auto dealership. They also released footage showing a man believed to be Campanella entering the office of then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The footage suggests he may have stolen Pelosi’s laptop. This further connected Campanella to the events of January 6.

Flicker’s Strong Support for Trump

Siggy Flicker is a well-known supporter of President Trump, often associated with Trump Picks. She proudly identifies as an “Israeli/American Patriot” on her Instagram account. As of 2024, her Instagram had over 644,000 followers. On her page, she often shares pictures of herself with Trump. In one photo, she stands next to him holding the Israeli flag, showing her strong bond with both Trump and Israel.

Flicker also shares images with other prominent figures close to Trump. She has posted pictures with Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, and Alina Habba, Trump’s current lawyer. Flicker has also shared selfies taken outside Trump’s private jet. These images highlight her continued connection to the Trump family and political circle.

No Evidence of Flicker’s Presence at the Capitol

While her son was involved in the Capitol riot, there is no evidence linking Flicker to the event as one of Trump’s Picks. The attack on the Capitol led to the deaths of seven people. Flicker denied being in Washington, D.C., during the riot. In a January 13, 2021, video, she addressed the rumors. She clarified that she had been in Florida since December 3rd, 2020, and was not part of the violent event.

In the video, she jokingly responded to the rumors. She said, “Just keep me relevant, that’s all I have to say!” This comment further distanced her from any involvement in the January 6 attack.
