President Donald Trump has set a daring new plan in motion: the United States will buy and take full control of the Gaza Strip. He made this shocking announcement on a recent Air Force One trip to New Orleans. His words? Bold. His vision? Even bigger.
“I’m committed to owning Gaza,” Trump declared, outlining his vision for the war-torn land. While the US would oversee the area, Trump hinted at possibly allowing neighboring Middle Eastern countries to help rebuild sections of Gaza, through American oversight. However, the message was clear – the US would maintain control.
The plan is straightforward but radical. Trump insisted that all of Gaza’s population would be permanently relocated. The goal? Transform Gaza into what he called “the Riviera of the Middle East,” a stunning transformation from its current devastation. “There’s nothing left,” Trump said, describing the Strip as a complete demolition site.
On top of taking control of Gaza, Trump made it clear that some Palestinian refugees might be allowed to enter the United States. However, this would be on a case-by-case basis. His priority? Protecting the Palestinians. “We’re gonna make sure they’re not murdered,” he vowed.
Trump’s remarks have drawn fierce criticism from Hamas. Izzat al-Rishq, a senior member of the Hamas political bureau, wasted no time condemning the plan. “Gaza is not for sale,” he stated. He emphasized that Gaza is part of Palestinian land and vowed that the people would resist any attempts to displace them.
Trump’s proposal isn’t just controversial in Gaza. It’s facing serious pushback from countries around the globe. The idea of the US taking control of Gaza, while helping to rebuild it, has sparked an uproar. The question on everyone’s mind: under what authority could the US claim Gaza? World leaders have been quick to criticize the plan, with many rejecting it outright.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog revealed that Trump will soon meet with several Arab leaders to discuss the matter. President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi of Egypt and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are on the list. These talks could shape the future of the region, but Herzog remains tight-lipped on the details.
In a Fox News interview, Herzog discussed Trump’s idea of taking over Gaza. He explained that Trump’s meetings with Middle Eastern leaders would be crucial. “We must listen to them,” Herzog stated, noting that these countries have a big stake in the plan’s success.
However, Saudi Arabia has already rejected Trump’s Gaza takeover, and Jordan’s King Abdullah is preparing to deliver a sharp critique when he meets with Trump in Washington. Abdullah, according to reports, views the proposal as a “recipe for radicalism” that could bring chaos to the Middle East.
As of now, the White House has not commented on the growing international backlash against the Gaza plan. It is unclear whether Trump’s team has prepared any countermeasures for the expected resistance. However, one thing is certain – this issue will continue to stir up intense debates worldwide.
