Trump declares ‘America is back’ in fiery congressional address

President Donald Trump took center stage before Congress on Tuesday night, delivering a rousing speech that he called his “common sense revolution.” In his first major address since taking office six weeks ago, Trump declared that “America is back” and wasted no time celebrating his administration’s sweeping changes.

Trump Slams DEI, Announces Major Terrorist Capture

Trump touted the end of divisive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, claiming, “Our country will be woke no longer.” He also hailed cost-cutting measures by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and announced the capture of a “top terrorist” linked to the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal that killed 13 U.S. service members.

Honoring victims of crimes committed by illegal migrants, Trump recognized the families of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, and NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller. “Criminal illegal aliens will face swift deportation,” he declared, demanding mandatory death sentences for those who kill police officers.

Biden Policies Blamed for Inflation, Energy Crisis

Trump ripped into his predecessor’s economic policies, blaming Biden for “out-of-control” inflation and soaring egg prices. “We inherited an economic catastrophe,” he said. Promising relief, Trump vowed to “Make America Affordable Again” by cutting regulations and expanding domestic energy production.

He also blasted the CHIPS Act, calling it a “horrible, horrible” policy and promised to eliminate burdensome regulations. “For every new regulation, ten old ones must go,” he asserted.

Border Crackdown and Foreign Policy Shifts

Touting the lowest illegal border crossings in 25 years, Trump mocked Democrats who claimed new legislation was needed. “Turns out, all we needed was a new president,” he quipped.

He announced the U.S. had captured the mastermind behind the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing and thanked Pakistan for its cooperation. On Ukraine, Trump revealed that President Volodymyr Zelensky had expressed readiness for peace talks. “Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians,” Trump quoted from Zelensky’s letter.

Democrats Walk Out as Speech Turns Partisan

Throughout the address, tensions ran high. Dozens of Democrats left mid-speech, some holding protest signs, while Rep. Rashida Tlaib silently held up a whiteboard reading, “Start paying your taxes.” Rep. Al Green was ejected after repeatedly heckling Trump.

The president took the disruptions in stride. “This is my fifth speech to Congress, and nothing I say will make them happy,” he remarked.

Trump’s Big Finish: ‘The Golden Age Has Just Begun’

Wrapping up after a record-breaking 99-minute speech, Trump declared, “The Golden Age of America has only just begun.” He vowed to continue his aggressive agenda, stating, “With God’s help, we will make this country greater than ever before.”

As he exited, Republicans cheered while Democrats rushed out of the chamber. Trump’s message was clear—his second term is just getting started, and he’s not backing down.
