Top 10 2024 Movie Preview: Sequels, Prequels, and More on the Big Screen

Get ready for a flood of follow-ups, threequels, and prequels hitting theaters in 2024, including movies that were postponed due to strikes in Hollywood. Despite challenges,
movie buffs will have a plethora of options. Fans of superheroes and comic books can
anticipate ‘Madame Web,’ ‘Deadpool 3,’ ‘Venom 3,’ and ‘Joker: Folie a Deux.’


Other highly awaited sequels comprise ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,’ ‘Kung Fu
Panda 4,’ ‘Inside Out 2,’ ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,’ and ‘Kingdom of the
Planet of the Apes.’ Renowned directors like George Miller with ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max
Saga,’ Luca Guadagnino with ‘Challengers,’ and Lee Isaac Chung of ‘Minari’ fame
directing ‘Twisters.’ Francis Ford Coppola is set to release ‘Megalopolis’ in September,
while Ridley Scott makes a comeback after a 24-year hiatus for ‘Gladiator II.’


Horror enthusiasts can also expect chills with sequels such as ‘A Quiet Place: Day
One,’ ‘MaXXXine,’ ‘Terrifier 3,’ and ‘Smile 2,’ perfectly timed for Halloween.

    Directed by Matthew Vaughn, starring Bryce Dallas Howard alongside Dua Lipa, Henry
    Cavill, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ariana Debose.

    Madame Web (Feb. 14)


    Dakota Johnson takes on the role of the clairvoyant paramedic in this Marvel
    production, supported by Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced.

    Bob Marley: One Love (Feb. 14)


    Kingsley Ben-Adir portrays the legendary reggae artist in this biopic covering his life
    and music.

    Dune: Part Two (March 1)


    Denis Villeneuve continues the story with Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca
    Ferguson, and a stellar cast.

    Kung Fu Panda 4 (March 4)
