Tesla under Attack.
A wave of attacks against Tesla vehicles has escalated in recent weeks, with incidents reported across the U.S. and Canada. From Molotov cocktails to vandalism, criminals are targeting Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicles in what authorities call “domestic terrorism.”
In Hamilton, Canada, around 80 Tesla cars were damaged at a dealership. Police discovered deep scratches, punctured tires, and other deliberate destruction. Authorities are reviewing security footage and asking the public for help in identifying the vandals.
The attack is just the latest in a disturbing trend of anti-Tesla violence.
The attacks have not been limited to Canada. On Thursday, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced charges against three individuals accused of setting Tesla vehicles and charging stations on fire in multiple states, including Colorado, Oregon, and South Carolina.
Bondi warned that anyone involved in these crimes will face severe consequences. “The days of committing crimes without consequence are over,” she stated. “If you participate in this domestic terrorism against Tesla, expect to go to prison.”
One of the most violent incidents took place in Salem, Oregon. A suspect armed with an AR-15 rifle threw multiple Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership, causing significant damage.
In Charleston, South Carolina, another suspect allegedly spray-painted anti-Trump messages on Tesla charging stations before setting them on fire with homemade firebombs.
In Loveland, Colorado, authorities arrested a suspect attempting to ignite Tesla vehicles with Molotov cocktails. All three suspects now face federal charges, each carrying a minimum five-year prison sentence.
On Tuesday, a gunman in Las Vegas opened fire on Tesla vehicles at a collision center before throwing Molotov cocktails at them. At least five cars were damaged, and two were completely engulfed in flames. The attacker also spray-painted the word “RESIST” in large letters on the building’s entrance.
Authorities say this was a “targeted attack” against Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk.
Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and an adviser to President Donald Trump, responded to the attacks on X (formerly Twitter). He announced increased security measures at Tesla locations and confirmed that all Tesla vehicles in stores will have Sentry Mode activated. This feature allows Tesla’s cameras and sensors to remain on and record suspicious activity.
The recent string of attacks has fueled political tensions. Some progressive activists and public figures have encouraged protests against Musk’s growing influence in politics, particularly his connection to Trump.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has condemned the violence, calling it “a coordinated attack on free enterprise.”
Tesla’s rise in the electric vehicle market has been met with both admiration and criticism. While Musk’s supporters see him as a visionary, his critics accuse him of monopolizing the industry and aligning too closely with conservative politics.
Now, Tesla is not just under attack in the stock market—it’s under attack in the streets.
With arrests being made and security being tightened, authorities are working to stop these violent acts before they escalate even further.
