A group of hackers has released the personal information of Tesla owners across the United States. The leaked data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. The hackers created a website called DOGEQUEST, which displays this information on an interactive map. This data breach has raised serious privacy and security concerns among Tesla owners and the public.
The website does not only expose Tesla owners. It also reveals the locations of Tesla showrooms and charging stations. Shockingly, it even lists the home address of FBI Director Kash Patel and employees from the Department of Government Efficiency. The website uses a Molotov cocktail symbol as its cursor, adding a threatening tone to the leak. The scale of this data exposure has alarmed both government officials and private citizens alike.
The hackers claim they will remove a Tesla owner’s personal details if they provide proof that they have sold their car. It is unclear where the hackers obtained this sensitive data. However, the leak has caused significant fear and anger. Many Tesla owners are demanding immediate action to have their information taken down. Meanwhile, cybersecurity experts are working to understand how the data was stolen.
Elon Musk reacted strongly to the situation. He called the attack “extreme domestic terrorism” and warned of the dangers it could cause. In a post on social media, he stated that encouraging Tesla destruction is an act of terror. His statement has sparked debates about whether this cyberattack should be treated as a criminal act of terrorism. Many believe that law enforcement agencies should get involved quickly.
Although the DOGEQUEST website does not directly call for violence, it suggests vandalizing Teslas is an easy option. The site includes a message saying that people do not need a map to find a Tesla to damage. It describes vandalism as a form of “creative expression.” The site also links to another page offering advice on how to avoid surveillance. These messages have led to fears that more attacks against Tesla owners and dealerships may follow.
Many people are calling for immediate action against the hackers. Some have urged FBI Director Kash Patel to take down the website and investigate the cybercriminals behind it. President Donald Trump has also addressed the issue. He declared that anyone attacking Teslas or dealerships would be labeled as domestic terrorists. His statement has added more pressure on federal authorities to respond swiftly.
Recently, large protests have taken place at Tesla showrooms around the world. Protesters are angry at Elon Musk’s efforts to cut government spending. In New York City, around 250 activists gathered outside a Tesla showroom. They held signs with slogans like “Block Fascism Now” and “Musk Must Go.” Protesters chanted, “Elon Musk is not elected! Democracy must be protected!” Five demonstrators were arrested for disorderly conduct, and one was taken into custody for resisting arrest.
Since Trump’s inauguration, there have been multiple attacks on Tesla cars and facilities. In one case, a man in New York City saw another man jump out of a Subaru and spray-paint a swastika on his Cybertruck. In Las Vegas, an arsonist used Molotov cocktails to firebomb five Teslas before shooting at the burning vehicles. Police discovered the word “resist” painted on a Tesla dealership door. The increase in attacks has led many Tesla owners to fear for their safety.
Musk’s plan to downsize the government is facing serious legal challenges. A federal judge in Maryland ruled that shutting down USAID likely violates the U.S. Constitution. As a result, he issued a preliminary injunction to stop the closure. Another judge previously forced the government to rehire thousands of workers who had been fired. These rulings are a setback for Musk’s government reform efforts, which have been widely debated.
Tesla’s stock has taken a significant hit in recent months. Since December, its stock value has dropped by 53%. The company’s overall market value has fallen by more than $800 billion. This financial crisis has caused concern among investors. In response, four top Tesla executives have sold more than $100 million worth of shares since February. Many experts believe this could be a sign of deeper troubles ahead for the company.
Ross Gerber, one of Tesla’s early investors, has publicly stated that the company needs a new CEO. He believes that Musk’s leadership is hurting Tesla’s reputation and sales. Gerber suggested that Musk should either return full-time to Tesla or step down and allow someone else to take charge. He argued that Musk is too distracted by his other projects. Many shareholders now believe a leadership change is necessary to restore Tesla’s success.
Tesla is facing one of its biggest challenges yet. The company’s reputation has been seriously damaged. Sales are dropping, and many people believe Musk’s leadership is to blame. Some argue that Tesla still has the best products on the market, but Musk’s public actions have made it harder to sell cars. With the combination of protests, attacks, legal battles, and financial losses, Tesla’s future remains uncertain.
