Ten Commandments Found? CIA Fuels Ark of Covenant Mystery

Have the Ten Commandments been found? A declassified CIA report is stirring up ancient legends, government secrets, and religious curiosity all over again.

This document, recently resurfaced online, claims that the Ark of the Covenantโ€”believed to hold the Ten Commandmentsโ€”was located by a psychic in 1988.

And now, the world is buzzing with speculation.

The Arkโ€™s Biblical Backstory

According to the Bible, the Ark of the Covenant was built by the Israelites shortly after escaping Egypt around 13th century BC. Moses himself placed the stone tabletsโ€”the Ten Commandmentsโ€”inside the sacred chest.

The Ark was described as gold-covered, beautifully adorned, and powerful. For centuries, it remained in the Temple of Jerusalem. Only the High Priest could approach it, and only on Yom Kippur.

Then, it vanished.

Some say the Babylonians took it when they invaded in 586 BC. Others believe it was smuggled away before the destruction. Many claim it was moved to Ethiopia. Until now, the world had no proof.

Declassified Document Claims It Was Found

A CIA document declassified in 2000 claims the Ark of the Covenant was located in 1988. The source? A remote viewing session carried out by a government-trained psychic.

This document is part of Project Sun Streak, a secret program run by U.S. intelligence agencies in the 1970s and 80s. It aimed to gather intelligence using โ€œremote viewersโ€โ€”psychics trained to visualize faraway locations.

In this case, the viewer was given coordinates. They had no idea what they were supposed to find. Yet, what they described shocked officials.

The Remote Vision of a Sacred Object

The psychic, labeled Remote Viewer No. 032, described a โ€œcoffin-shaped objectโ€ hidden underground in the Middle East. It was wooden, covered in gold and silver, and decorated with a six-winged angel.

Arabic was being spoken nearby. The environment felt dark, wet, and sacred. The viewer said the object was โ€œmeant to bring people together,โ€ and was connected to โ€œmemory, homage, and resurrection.โ€

He also warned that the Ark was โ€œprotected by entitiesโ€ who would destroy anyone trying to open it by force.

This chilling claim was just the beginning.

Psychic Sees Destruction for the Unworthy

The psychic warned that the Ark couldnโ€™t be openedโ€”unless the person was authorized. Otherwise, it would release โ€œa power unknown to us.โ€

They said the lock mechanism was simple, but anyone attempting to pry it open would be โ€œdestroyed by the protectors.โ€

Thatโ€™s not a warning most people ignore.

The same document also features drawings made during the viewing. Among them: a domed mosque, eight โ€œmummiesโ€ lined up against a wall, and a winged creature labeled โ€œseradin.โ€

Location: Middle East or Ethiopia?

The remote viewer placed the Ark in the Middle East. However, some researchers insist it resides in Ethiopia.

One Ethiopian legend says the Ark was taken by Menelik, son of the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon. It now rests in the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Aksum.

British scholar Edward Ullendorff claimed to have seen the Ark during World War II. But a close colleague later said what he saw was just a replica.

Could the real Ark still be buried somewhere in the Middle East?

Project Sun Streakโ€™s Secret History

Most people have never heard of Project Sun Streak. Thatโ€™s because it was secretโ€”very secret.

In the 1980s, the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies trained psychics to see distant locations using only coordinates. These individuals were known as remote viewers.

They helped locate hostages, track criminals, and even attempted to uncover enemy military secrets.

The idea was controversialโ€”but serious enough for the government to fund it for years.

Indiana Jones Wasnโ€™t So Far Off

Popular culture has long been obsessed with the Ark. In the 1981 film Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, the chestโ€™s power is portrayed as dangerous and divine.

That film, though fictional, is eerily close to the claims made in this CIA document.

An object of immense power. Hidden underground. Protected by forces beyond understanding. Sound familiar?

The Document That Sparked New Buzz

The resurfaced CIA file was recently highlighted on the Ninjas Are Butterflies podcast. Host Josh Hooper admitted he thought it was fakeโ€”until he found the document on the CIAโ€™s own website.

โ€œWhat am I looking at?โ€ Hooper asked.

The file describes the December 5, 1988 session in vivid detail. The psychic projected consciousness beyond their body and described everything as it came.

And what they wrote down? Bone-chilling.

This recently resurfaced CIA document claims that the Ark of the Covenant has been found, and it may lie somewhere in Ethiopia

Inside the Psychicโ€™s Drawings

The drawings included more than just buildings. The psychic sketched eight stick figures labeled โ€œmummies,โ€ a wheel-like symbol, and a terrifying winged figure with claws and a tail.

That creature was labeled โ€œseraphimโ€โ€”a type of angel with six wings described in ancient texts.

These sketches add to the belief that the viewer saw something ancient and powerful.

And they werenโ€™t alone. Other remote viewers have reportedly had similar visions over the years.

Mysterious Writings and Ominous Words

The report also includes scattered words scribbled across pages. Words like โ€œforbidden,โ€ โ€œdestroyed,โ€ โ€œsacred,โ€ and โ€œanguish.โ€

These notes suggest fear, reverence, and power. Whatever the viewer saw, they believed it wasnโ€™t just a boxโ€”it was a force.

A force tied to something divine.

Middle East Remains Primary Target

Despite Ethiopian claims, the CIA file places the Ark somewhere beneath Middle Eastern soil. The document does not name a country, but descriptions hint at Arabic-speaking regions with Islamic architecture.

Could it be Iraq? Syria? Saudi Arabia?

No one knows. And if they do, theyโ€™re not talking.

Spiritual Significance Still Strong

The Ten Commandments remain one of the most sacred pieces of Judeo-Christian history. Finding the Ark would be a spiritual earthquake.

It would validate religious history, shake archaeological theory, and raise serious questions about ancient power and knowledge.

For many, the idea that the Ten Commandments were found is more than just a headlineโ€”itโ€™s hope.

Still No Confirmation from the Government

Though the document is real, the CIA hasnโ€™t confirmed or denied the claims. They simply released the report as part of a batch of declassified files.

But silence speaks volumes.

If the Ark was truly foundโ€”or even spottedโ€”would they tell us? Or would they bury the truth deeper than the Ark itself?

Ten Commandments found: What Happens Next?

The mystery continues. But one thing is clear: the resurfacing of this document has reignited global interest in one of historyโ€™s greatest religious relics.

Whether buried in the Middle East or hidden in Ethiopia, the Ark continues to haunt humanity.

And until we find it for certain, one question will keep echoing:

Have the Ten Commandments been found at last?
